1642 Scented Candle

Maison Balzac and Doctor Lisa Cooper, Sydney-based artist, united to create this candle as an ode to a 17th Century Vanitas. It awakes the perfumes of Adriaen Van Utrecht’s painting from the year 1642, Vanitas – Still Life with Bouquet and Skull, as an inquiry into the olfactory experience of viewing the image through alternative senses. The stunning floral and woody blend of 1642 has top olfactive notes of violet, middle notes of blackberry and base notes of cedar wood.

Each large candle contains 300g of soy wax, 2 cotton wicks, and burns for approximately 70 hours.
